I Made A Cover Of Jhené Aiko’s “The Worst”

I am a big music lover and have always wondered if my voice could get a pass in the studio. A couple of weekends ago, I got the chance to explore my wonder.

I was really bored and had no plans. After a while, I decided to pay one of my friends a visit. His name is Jay, he’s a producer. He was working on a couple of projects at the time, so I just watched the process of how music was made and it seemed really fun. I opened up to him about how I would love to cover a Jhené Aiko song as she is one of my favourite artists.

He asked me to choose a song and before I turned around, he had downloaded the instrumental and pulled up the lyrics for me to sing along to. I cannot lie that I was impressed with the sound and I have to give all props to Jay for the production. He made a verse for the track and within a couple of hours, Jay had sent an audio to me on WhatsApp of my cover of Jhené Aiko’s “The Worst”.

*Disclaimer: I am not an artist and I am not chasing a music career. Maybe in another lifetime, it’s something I would consider haha.
